Uluwatu Tour is a very scenic half day sightseeing in Bali’s southernmost tip, from the panoramic views of GWK Park to the cliffs of Uluwatu. Take in a Kecak Fire Dance cliff top as the sun sets over the ocean, and then dine by candlelight on the shores of Jimbaran beach.
|Type||Half Day – Scenic/Cultural|
EXPLORE…Uluwatu Temple, a sprawling complex perched on the sheer cliffs of Uluwatu, which drop precipitously into the clear blue sea below. Inside, the walls of coral bricks are covered with intricate carvings of Bali’s mythological menageries. But the real attraction is the location.
APPRECIATE…the stunning views of the Uluwatu cliffs and ocean from the cliff side walking trail. But watch your belongings – the local monkeys are notorious thieves!
WATCH…the Kecak and Fire dance staged on the cliffs of Uluwatu at sunset. This cultural experience viewed against the backdrop of the sun sinking into the ocean from a perfect vantage point atop the cliff is a tour ‘standard’ for good reason.
VISIT…Garuda Wishnu Kencana Cultural Park en-route to Uluwatu. The views alone are worth the small entrance fee. Sited high above Bali’s southern peninsula, the sweeping view allows you to see the east and west coasts of Bali in one stunning panorama.
Views aside, the park’s main feature is a 145m gigantic bust of God Wishnu. A terraced stone pathway with views in every direction then leads to a statue of Garuda, sited above expansive green lawns at the base of a lime stone quarry.
DINE…by candlelight right on the shores of Jimbaran Beach. Specialising in seafood, local restaurants line Jimbaran beach with tables and chairs along the sandy coast in the evening as far as the eye can see. The atmosphere is both romantic and lively, with the gentle evening breeze, the soft, rhythmic sound of the nearby waves rolling in, candlelight, and live entertainment every several meters.
Your driver will be happy to recommend a restaurant in line with your budget. The Jimbaran dining experience makes a lovely end to an Uluwatu tour- as long as you don’t mind company, as hundreds of people flock here to dine on the beach nightly!
CREATE…your perfect day. We can customise this half day Uluwatu Tour to suit. For instance, if you’d like to make it a full day tour, you could add a morning of shopping in Ubud or water sports in Tanjung Benoa.
The possibilities are endless!
