Bali Zoo is the island’s only Balinese-owned private zoo. Situated on 22 acres of lush landscape in the art village of Singapadu, Bali Zoo is home to a diverse collection of more than 350 exotic animals – a majority of which are indigenous to Indonesia, including rare and endangered species such as the Sumatran Elephant, Sumatran Tiger, Orangutan, Sun Bear and Binturong. The animals at Bali Zoo reside in hundreds of quality built eco-habitats and are well cared for.
Bali Zoo also offers a number of unique ‘hands on’ animal encounters and one of a kind experiences.

WANDER…at leisure through the beautifully landscaped and shaded garden paths that lead through Bali Zoo.
EXPERIENCE… Bali’s most unique photo opportunity as you sit up close and personal with Bali Zoo’s tame tiger cubs, crocodiles, binturongs, pythons and more. See what the scales on a fresh water crocodile and python look like, or what the fur of a binturong and tiger cub feel like. Bali Zoo staff will happily take a photo for you – backdropped by an assortment of exotic fauna. (Daily shows at 1pm and 4pm in the Elephant View Restaurant).
JOIN…an elephant expedition through a scenic pathway winding through parts of Bali Zoo, and then outside the park where you can see where the elephants sleep and bathe. Then continue through the nearby wilderness as you cross the Wos River on elephant back and then visit a natural waterfall and grassy valley.
For a shorter adventure trek, try Bali Zoo’s Elephant Back Safari through the tropical Zoo panorama, the elephants’ bathing pool and habitat, and a picturesque return route through lush jungle gardens with a view of several animal domains along the way.
ENJOY…a meal in the main restaurant with a view of tropical birds and a parade of elephants or choose to dine just a few meters from a lion family enclosure. Either way, you are guaranteed one of the most unique and wildest dining experiences in Bali.
CHALLENGE…yourself with a tree walk adventure as you also enjoy a bird’s eye perspective from the tree line. With something for all levels of experience and agility, Bali Zoo’s tree top circuit has 15 stages featuring a number of elevated activities such as wooden bridges, spider nets, Tarzan jumps, flying-fox lines, flying swings and more. Trained guides explain, supervise and assist.
FEED…wild animals such as crocodiles, tigers and lions with help of a Bali Zoo-keeper. Or hand feed tame wallabies, deer, gibbons, sun bears, orangutan, camels, pelicans and more. (Fruit to feed the animals can be purchased at the Zoo.)
INVITE… your children to interact with and pet gentle baby animals and learn about their behavior. Kids can experience touching and hand-feed domestic animals such as rabbits, baby deer, and horses.
CREATE…your perfect day. We can customise a Bali Zoo Tour to suit. For instance, wildlife lovers might like to add a visit to the Bali Bird Park to their Bali Zoo Tour to make a full day wildlife experience. Depending on how long you wish to linger, it’s also possible to combine Bali Zoo and Bali Bird Park in the morning with Taro Elephant Safari Park in the afternoon.
